Condolence To Employee Letter Template

  • By | Comments Off

Condolence letters are usually written to someone you know who has undergone bereavement in his immediate family or someone very close. It is an expression of sympathy and solidarity at a time of mourning.

Such letters must be hand written, thoughtful and above all personal. It is important for the letter writer to put in his personal thoughts which care than eloquent flowery articles. A condolence letter from the heart never fails to strike the right chord with someone who has just suffered a loss.

Paraphrasing quotations and poems are acceptable but the basic thoughts must be yours. A letter to an employee is even more delicate. He will be required to fulfill his official duties and yet bear his grief with fortitude.

A personal letter of condolence from the employer goes a long way in alleviating the employee’s mental state. A well written letter from an employer has a calm reassuring effect on the employee.

It brings in a much more humane approach to your office where personal feelings are both respected and appreciated. It is the greatest way of showing your employee the appreciation of his dedicated services rendered in your company.

The conflicting nature of this letter is in its essence. A condolence letter is essentially a personal letter where the official requirement is otherwise. A letter focused on his personal loss would serve the purpose better and a sample template is given below.

    Example Of Condolence Letter

    Dear Margaret,

I am saddened to hear about the sudden loss of your mother Mrs. Angeline who was such a wonderful woman. I had the pleasure to meet with her in your home quite a few times.

Both her apple pies and her warmth will be cherished in my heart forever (such personal memory if you have met her). I pray for god to give you and your family the strength and power to bear your loss with fortitude and resilience.

Please do let me know if I could be of any help during this period to help you cope with your loss.

    With deepest condolences,
    John
